One Frame At A Time: Florida

No, it wasn't a fun day to be a Florida quarterback. Many more hits in the backfield plus some big runs, crushing blocks, long bombs, field goals(!), and more in GIF form after the jump.

[JUMP]

I'm switching over entirely to Gfycats this year because they load so much faster than normal GIFs and make these posts way, way easier to format. They've added the ability to kill autoplay, so these hopefully won't overload mobile devices anymore. Just hit play and enjoy; if you want to futz around with the speed or go frame-by-frame, click through for all the various gfycat toys. You'll want to bookmark this page as the MGoBlog Gfycat library grows, too. Finally, don't forget to vote for your favorite at the end of the post.

HONORABLE MENTION

Instead of listing every single thing I GIF'd for these, I'm going to start linking the ones that barely missed the cut, and I'll direct you to the full Gfycat album if you want to see the rest. Linking to a full set of 42 GIFs felt like overkill. The most honorable mentions:

Sad Florida Fan. Sad Florida Fans. Florida Fan F-Bomb.
Hudson Forces Buttfumble.
Ambry Thomas strip/recovery.
Three linebackers combine for TFL.
Rashan Gary, Arm Collector.
Ty Isaac Breaks Loose.

10. The Second Quarter, In Summary

You're looking live at every Michigan fan after the second pick-six.

9. Hello, Fourth-String Tight End

There's always a moment in the first game of the year when you pull up the roster and go "who was that guy?" This was that moment. That guy was Florida native Nick Eubanks.

8. Two Guys, A Spy, And A QB About To Die

On a late third-and-long, Michigan decides to rush two linemen with Chase Winovich acting as a QB spy. Let's see how that went:

Brutal. Let's see it again:

Delightfully brutal.

7. Invisibility Cloak, Now In Larger Sizes

Should they have called the "don't guard the 6'4" wideout" play, Wilton?

Agreed.

6. Dreaded Missile

There was too much good from Devin Bush to limit this to one GIF. Sack number one:

Sack number two:

Picking his way through traffic for a third-down TFL:

Can anyone block him?

I didn't think so.

5. Wild Thing

You make my heart sing:

You make everything... groovy:

Wild Thing.

4. Hammered

The corner on this play wanted absolutely no part of getting hit up high by Khalid Hill:

The defensive end on this play wasn't given a choice:

3. Rudely Discarded

The pursuit by Lawrence Marshall is excellent, but the real highlight is Josh Metellus shedding a block with such force he literally tosses the receiver two yards away from the play. Marshall then wrecks the same guy and dives on the ball for good measure.

2. Bears On The Loose

Man, I can't imagine seeing anything more impressive than a strongside defensive end making a tackle on a wide receiver screen.

[puts hand to ear] I'm getting word that... oh dear god:

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

FRAMES OF THE GAME: SEALED WITH A HIT

I have no idea what the left tackle was doing but Chase Winovich sure knew how to take advantage:

A replay? Sure, that sounds delightful.
