The Store. The Store. The Store.

MGoRadio was recorded before a live retail audience at The Bo Store, 333 S. Main Street. Special guests this week: author/friend of the blog Craig Ross and Michigan great offensive tackle Big Ed Muransky. Also a big thanks to the good doctor, Dustin Meldrun (the one in the yellow cardigan), for bringing us beer.

----------------------------

A big thanks to our sponsors. The show is presented by UGP& Moe's and frankly would not be happening without them; Rishi and company have been on board here from almost the beginning. Shopping with them helps us and supports good dudes. Check out their new Bo Store on Main.

Our other sponsors are also key in the expanding empire: thanks to Homesure Lending, Ann Arbor Elder Law,Liz Crowe, the Residence Inn Ann Arbor Downtown, the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Michigan Law Grad,Defensive Drivers Group, and Tailgater Concierge.

----------------------------

1. Rutgers Postmortem and Looking Ahead

starts at 1:00

After the UFRs our opinion is that Rutgurs urnt gurd. Got to see a Don Brown plan versus Homeless Man’s Ohio State. Asiasi blocking: oy oy oy. Attacking Quarters defenses means going vertical with your slot receivers. Teams favored by S&P+ as much as Michigan is over State are 1500-6?

2. Hot Taking With a Cool Craig Ross

starts at 25:44

Three-thousand year old druid Craig Ross joins and tries to make us say the things we’re thinking. Keeping LJ Scott’s legs fresh for the NFL. Worst case scenario for Michigan is a couple of bad drives for Speight or something, but they can still run the ball and use Peppers to win a punt-a-thon.

3. Remembering Bo, with Big Ed Muransky

starts at 54:34

Ed recounts the Pasadena lace shirt motorcycle incident, and the kinds of things that Bo cared about. Bo didn’t allow his linemen to be over 299 pounds, so they were all 287. Ed remembers Jim and John Harbaugh as kids around the locker room—Jimmy deserved to get taped to the locker. Jim Harbaugh as the heir apparent and how things didn’t align right away; Jim gets kids these days, he gets football, and he gets the school, and those are all crucial.

4. Gimmicky Top Five Big Ten Traditions that Need to Go the Way of Chief Illiniwek, and Recruiting Roundup

starts at 1:22:15

Most of them have to do with Iowa or programs added since the Original Big Ten lost Chicago. Almost made it through this segment without some Penn State Bad Thing references.

Also Brian pronounces all the prospects who will be on campus this week. Tufele appears like a guy who can play on the DL immediately. We talk about the crystal ball flips made on OL guys, particularly Slaton and the weirdness around there.

“It’s Your Thing”—The Islay Brothers, 1969

“Funkadelic”—(Not Just) Knee Deep, 1979
