Speedy Eaglet Update
Yup, still want.
Commits Taking Visits
Three-star AL RB Kingston Davis has taken a couple visits since his Michigan commitment and plans to take at least one more, but his dad told Sam Webb his pledge is still solid, and there's vehicular-related evidence to back that up ($):
“We visited LSU and we visited Florida and he liked both spots,” Davis’ father Leroy said. “Florida he liked more than he liked LSU I guess you could say. His top three is Michigan Florida and LSU. I think Louisville was #5 from what I remember. I think Nebraska was one of those schools. So he wants to visit Nebraska. He wants to visit Michigan, of course. He is excited about Michigan’s game that is going to be played next Thursday. We’re all going to be sitting down watching attentively to see what Coach Harbaugh and company are doing. But he is still solid about where he wants to go to school. He is bugging me now about a four-wheel drive vehicle. Do you need a four-wheel drive in Michigan? (Laughter)”
In case that doesn't assuage your fears, he added he "can't think of anything" when asked what it would take for his son to change his commitment before launching into a list of reasons why the whole family likes Michigan.
In other commit visit news that shouldn't be too concerning, four-star IN ATH Chris Evans plans to take an unofficial to Indiana, per 247's Steve Wiltfong ($). Evans says he's "still all Michigan." The day the Hoosiers flip a commit Michigan wants to keep will be the same day they have a good offense and a good defense simultanously.

Tight End Recruiting: Upshur to FSU, Mathis Sets Official
As expected, four-star PA TE Naseir Upshur committed to Florida State last week. Less expected: even though Upshur will take visits Michigan appears to be out of the picture entirely, per 247's Ryan Bartow:
Upshur said he plans to still take his official visits.
"I want to do visits to USC, Alabama, FSU, Temple and Arizona State," Upshur said. "I don't have date for those yet but those are the ones I'm hoping to take."
Michigan is moving on. Their top target at tight end is now four-star FL TE Jacob Mathis, who told Scout's Corey Bender he set his first official visit for the homecoming game against Northwestern ($). It might be tough to pull Mathis out of Florida—the Gators are heavily involved here—but if he's going out of state Michigan is the likely destination.
More 2016 Updates: Corley Timeline Change?
Michigan has made a big move to get back into four-star Detroit King WR Donnie Corley's recruitment but I'm not sure this latest news from Sam Webb bodes well ($):
“He was talking about taking all five official visits, but I think after the first month we’ll get a chance to see a lot of (teams) play,” said Mr. Corley. “I think we can go ahead and make a decision after the first month of college football. We’ll get to see a few games… about three games in the first month. So I think he can see how some of the offenses run, how they use their guys, and I think that could be good from there.”
If Corley decides that soon, I'm not sure there's enough time for M to overtake MSU.
In more promising news, Michigan made the top five for four-star TX DT Chris Daniels:
I just want to thank everyone for tuning in & following me through this process my Top 5 is #UofM#Bama#OU#A&M #OSUpic.twitter.com/Q14L0XfxvG

Four-star TX OT Jean Delanceset his official visit for The Game. Three-star FL DE Terrell Lucas told 247's Steve Lorenz he plans to set his official for the Michigan State game ($).
2017 Updates: Elite QB Visiting This Weekend
Per Lorenz, top-100 2017 GA QB Davis Mills, who holds a Michigan offer, will visit for this weekend's game against Oregon State ($). Stanford and Georgia are the early Crystal Ball leaders for Mills.
Michigan offered top-100 2017 PA CB Lamont Wade, who told The Wolverine's Tim Sullivan he plans to check out campus ($):
"Definitely, I plan on going on up there for a big game," he said of Michigan. "I haven't picked one out yet, though. I'm hoping to get down to Virginia Tech, Im hoping to get to Michigan State, maybe Tennessee, Rutgers, a couple of those schools."
Wade is rumored to be an early Ohio State lean, but insists he's wide open at this stage in his recruitment.
Michigan offered three-star GA CB Meshal Custis over the weekend and vaulted into his top two, per Lorenz ($):
"I was hoping for a Michigan offer," Custis said. "Michigan and Clemson are my top two schools right now. I really like the way Coach Durkin uses his defensive backs. They were all over the field on Thursday and that's the way I like to play football."
Finally, please offer this kid already.
